The first 10 Kroner note shown above dated 1972 with a Q prefix was only released into circulation in Stavanger, Norway. A total quantity of 38,500 pieces with Prefix Q was issued making this a scarce issue.

The Q prefix is usually used for replacement notes but in this case it was used for a release of a limited number of issues in one specific area.

The 10 Kroner note with prefix A dated 1973 was put into general circulation starting in 1973.
