**Backgrounder**
The Arabian American Oil Company is the predecessor company to Saudi Aramco, the largest oil company in the world. It assumed its current title in 1988. The banknote above is the only known private issue although it is listed as Series Six. Considered "Chits", they were issued for use by "designated ARAMCO senior staff" members with 1 Point being equal to 1 Dollar in expat stores. They rarely come on the market and when they do they sell for $200 to $400 in any condition.
